أعلنت تويتر بالأمس عن تعديلات جديدة على سياستها أملًا في محاربة وتحييد الإساءة على الشبكة الاجتماعية. بعد التحديث أصبحت سياسة تويتر تتضمن حجب الحسابات التي تُروّج للعنف ضد الآخرين، بينما كانت في السابق ذات أفق ضيق بحيث تحجب الحسابات التي تُهدد بالعنف مباشرة ولم تعطي تويتر السهولة في معالجة التهديدات.
بالإضافة لذلك أعلنت تويتر أنّها ستعزز من جهودها التنفيذية، فبمجرد أن يُحدد الفريق التنفيذي إساءة أحد المستخدمين إلى مستخدم آخر سيكون لديه الحق في إغلاق حساب هذا المستخدم لأوقات مُحددة، كما سيُطلب من المستخدمين الناشرين للإساءة بحذف التغريدات قبل عودتهم لاستخدام تويتر مرة أخرى
